Mrs. Victoria Osteen Provides the Foreword to This Insightful Collection of Inspiring Stories About The Lessons Our Pets Teach Us
HOUSTON – December 30, 2020 — In her debut book My Dog Can Preach: 40 Lessons of God’s Love Unleashed (October 27, 2020), author Roxanne Worsham, has written a book for dog lovers that sheds light on how God’s goodness can be experienced through the unconditional love a dog brings its pet parents, family and community.

Ms. Worsham knows a thing or two about dogs, teaching, and preaching. For nine years she worked as the private teacher to the children of Pastor Joel Osteen and his wife, co-pastor Victoria. The three have been friends for more than 20 years. Through that relationship, Roxanne learned how to minister to people of all backgrounds and needs, serving at Osteen’s Lakewood Church. Mrs. Victoria Osteen generously provided the book’s foreword.
In this inspiring collection of stories, Roxanne relays messages of God’s love that she learned by observing the characteristics and behaviors of her beloved dogs, Scout and Arrow. These stories are supported by scripture that speaks to the special gifts and teachings of animals.
“I believe that God will use anything, even your dog, to catch your attention in order to unleash His love in every area of your life,” says the author. “My dog Scout provided the inspiration for many of the stories, starting as far back as 2004. I can’t think of any better example of goodness and devotion than a dog’s loyalty and unconditional love. I believe that anyone who is looking for a sign of God’s love need look no further than in the actions of a loving pet.”
This book is for anyone who loves dogs, whether they are spiritually minded or not. The author hopes the book will provide inspiration to both individual readers and church leaders who can look to their pets and all animals as models of devotion and acceptance.
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7-10

Advance Praise
“Roxanne is a dear family friend and a remarkable woman who shares her joy and her wisdom freely. She has done both in her new book, My Dog Can Preach. In it, Roxanne reveals how she found God’s purpose and love in something as simple as her dog, Scout. I believe Roxanne’s insightful observations will be as great a blessing to you and your family as they have always been to ours.” — JOEL OSTEEN, PASTOR LAKEWOOD CHURCH
